Please note, that although this torch is a UV-A, low power device- approximately 5w with an an output of around 350 lumens. It is none the less, emitting light in the high energy end of the light spectrum. Care must be taken when using it, as ultraviolet light is harmful to the eyes. Never look directly at the light source when it is operating, and never shine it in the direction of another person’s face. Glasses treated to eliminate the ultra violet transmission are a useful item of personal protection equipment (PPE) when utilising UV equipment.
